About Us

Nature is a life inspiration

Leaf and Let Live is a native plant nursery rooted in Central Arkansas.  We believe that every garden – even the smallest patch of land – can make a meaningful impact on the local environment.  Our goal is to help people create beautiful, low-maintenance landscapes that support pollinators, conserve water, and restore natural habitats.

Founded by a lifelong Arkansas gardener, Leaf and Let Live grew from a simple idea. What if native plant gardening was the easy choice?  We’re on a mission to make native plants more accessible by offering regionally adapted plant varieties that thrive in our climate without chemicals or excessive watering and that are well-suited for gardeners of all experience levels.

Right now, we are cultivating our first round of inventory and laying the roots for a nursery that welcomes and supports every kind of gardener.

As our plants grow, so does our community.  Follow along on our blog and social media for gardening information, native plant highlights, and behind-the-scenes updates as we bring Leaf and Let Live to life.

Whether you’re just getting started or rewilding your whole yard, we’re here with the plants, knowledge, and support you need to “leaf” behind traditional landscaping and let local nature thrive.

Here is part of what we've been working on. It's the winterized greenhouse with all the tender plants moved in. As you can see, my tropicals take up a large part of it. I've also repotted all of my babies from the spring so they can be big and strong by next spring. We've definitely been busy!!! ... See MoreSee Less

Leaf and Let Live
Hello all!!!I know it's been a while since I've shared anything here. I had a severe Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome episode that put me out of commission for a bit. I had to take some time to recover. We have still been busy during the time I was offline. We winterized the greenhouse and moved in all the tender plants, which was quite a major undertaking. I also rescued over 100 tree saplings from around my yard. Babies that couldn't stay where they sprouted. Mostly red maple and various oaks, with a few redbud thrown in. I did also add a new tree to the yard. She's a Chinkapin Oak, and she is gorgeous!I've also been caring for my seedlings and preparing for the next round of sowing, which will come in mid November. We put together a structure for naturally cold stratifying seeds. I have 17 different species to plant. It'll be a busy time!I put together a woodland edge bed to fill in a shady area with no growth. I planted several shrubs along with a variety of shade loving perennials and groundcovers. I am awaiting my last 2 shrubs to arrive. Everything is so small now. I can't wait for it to grow and fill out and reach its maximum potential. As you can see, we have had a lot going on here at Leaf and Let Live. We're in a short lull for now, but it will soon be time to hit the ground running again. ... See MoreSee Less
